Chirui Laser: Laser Processing Solutions for New Energy Vehicle Intelligent Manufacturing

The new energy vehicle industry is undergoing rapid iterative upgrading, driving surging demand for high-precision, eco-friendly and fully automated production processes among vehicle manufacturers and power battery production lines. Traditional polishing and chemical cleaning processes are prone to damaging workpiece base materials, generating massive wastewater and dust pollution, and feature poor adaptability to intelligent production lines. With over a decade of in-depth experience in the automotive intelligent manufacturing sector, Chirui Laser relies on self-developed laser processing technologies to launch four standardized laser process solutions that fully cover the entire production procedures of body-in-white, powertrain systems and power batteries. These solutions have been deployed in batches to support multiple leading domestic new energy vehicle enterprises.

01 Post-Welding Laser Cleaning for Battery Trays – Unify Product Quality and Reinforce the Safety Bottom Line of Power Batteries

For power battery manufacturers, the core value of Chirui Laser’s cleaning equipment lies not only in replacing manual work and reducing labor costs, but also in enabling compatibility with fully automated production lines, realizing standardized and automated operations, unifying the processing quality of batch products, minimizing rework, and reducing the risk of battery pack quality failures from the source.
Chirui’s self-developed integrated laser texturing machine integrates surface decontamination and micro-roughening processing. It removes oil stains and oxide layers while forming uniform and dense micro-concave-convex structures on workpiece surfaces, increasing substrate surface energy and significantly improving the bonding force of insulating paint and sealing glue. This provides a stable and reliable processing base for subsequent spraying and bonding procedures, ensuring the long-term operational reliability of components.
Compared with inkjet printing and mechanical stamping, Chirui laser marking features permanent and wear-resistant identification, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, friction resistance and large information capacity. It enables high-precision and clear marking on various common automotive metal materials, including high-strength steel, galvanized sheet, aluminum profile and stainless steel.
With the growing trend of new energy vehicle lightweighting, the application proportion of plastic composite parts keeps rising. Mold release agents, oil stains and residual coatings remain on plastic parts after injection molding and surface spraying, which directly cause defective products with cold solder joints, insufficient weld strength, cracking and leakage in subsequent hot-melt welding.
With the continuous expansion of the new energy vehicle market and the comprehensive advancement of intelligent factory transformation, laser processing technology will further penetrate all links of the automotive industrial chain. Chirui Laser will continue to iterate self-developed laser technologies and intelligent complete sets of equipment, and empower the transformation and upgrading of the automotive manufacturing industry as well as high-quality industrial development through green, efficient and standardized laser solutions.
